FAQs
-
Our office hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–7:00 pm. During that period we aim to respond within ~15 minutes. Messages outside those hours get an automated acknowledgment; we’ll follow up the next business day.
-
No. You can provide a hidden key location, garage/gate code, or unlocked door—whatever you’re most comfortable with. If we arrive and cannot access your dog, the full service fee applies.
-
Packs are intentionally small and curated—generally 4–6 dogs, sometimes up to 8–10 depending on compatibility, terrain, and staffing—to ensure every pup gets attention.
-
Not right away. We evaluate recall, behavior, and comfort level. Many dogs earn off-leash freedom over time. Dogs that don’t meet those criteria remain leashed during higher-risk moments. We also use GPS trackers for added safety.
-
We hike in nearly all conditions. If weather or trail conditions are unsafe—heat extremes, lightning, icy terrain—we’ll adjust, postpone, or cancel services and notify you as early as possible.
-
Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations and flea/tick prevention. Dogs with contagious conditions, or that present safety risks, may be temporarily excluded until cleared by a vet. Dogs with behavioral issues may be recommended for private walks before joining group hikes.
-
We'll contact you immediately if your dog is injured. Owners are responsible for vet bills if injuries occur through normal dog activity. If another dog causes injury, we'll assist with care and work toward fair reimbursement. (Try not to worry as we've never had a serious incident!)
-
Unspayed females may hike but must take a break during heat cycles. Unneutered males are welcome, but may be restricted to private walks if behavior becomes disruptive.
-
For now we serve Westchester County, NY—specifically Scarsdale, Rye, Mamaroneck, Bronxville, Harrison, Ardsley and adjacent towns. If your home is at the edge of our zone, please reach out—we’re always looking to add geographical diversity to the Pack.
-
Group hikes are typically 60–90 minutes on curated trails. Dogs are picked up, transported to the trail, and returned home happy and tired. Private walks are available in 30-, 60-, or 90-minute options.
-
All scheduling is done through our client portal [link to time to pet] or by contacting us directly. Service changes or cancellations must be submitted by 7 pm the night before to avoid fees.
